These are crucial months for fashion, following Covid-19 many things have changed and many will change.
We are now experiencing the most difficult summer season of the last few decades regarding the economy, but before moving deeply into our interview,
I would like to ask you in a few words to describe what has been and which is the essence of -PN\P:
From the beginning it has been the search for non-mass items, not having regard to what is seen in the newspapers, but the taste and the search for beauty, tailoring, starting from the noble fabric such as silks, linens, wools and cottons, avoiding the synthetic for the physical well-being of people.
Do you think things will change with regards to niche fashion? If so, how?
After this situation where the market was already saturated with more supply than demand.
Post Covid I think many things will change (and it was time!),spending all that money on the fashion system was no longer conceivable.
There was no respect for tailoring, everything was in a hurry.
There will be a return to good taste: buy less and buy well.
A summer and winter wardrobe, with no middle seasons, which now no longer exist.
In recent years there has been too much attention to the street-style, paying too high prices for garments without structure, basic and without material.
What are your positive hopes for what the future will be?
An evolution and a return to beauty, to good things, to tailoring and above all to aesthetic taste.
Being the owner but also the buyer of -PN\P is not a simple job, above all because you are constantly looking for new trends, new brands, which may be worthy of being part of shops that promote less commercial and more research fashion.
What are the things / values that convince you to buy a new brand?
When I buy a new brand, I try to have 360 degree attention, with an eye to an international audience.
They are always fundamental: the colours, the fabrics, the cuts and the wearability.
What do you think are the 3 strengths that differentiate -PN\P from the other competitors?
Style, tailoring, and harmony in the proposals.
Let's now talk about the trends for summer 2020.
What is certain is that this season started very late, with sales that started in March rather than in June,
But people are now starting to go out and return to a normal lifestyle,
What are the trends in vogue for you this summer 2020?
The return to normal will bring the desire to be attentive to detail, trying to convey positive energy in such an already very difficult period. The protagonists will be the prints such as the return to the animal print, but also the colours like red, yellow, green and shades of blue.
What are the 3 MUST HAVE men's clothing for you?
The 3 must-have items for me are
BORIS BIDJAN SABERI HAND STITCHED RED PANT, particular and unique in colour,
Done well and eternal, a garment that you carry with you in time.
BORIS BIDJAN SABERI RED LEATHER JACKET, reversible and special in construction, the colour is cheerful, beautiful with the tanned skins of summer, this too is a garment that you carry with you over time
GREEN SET OF HOMME PLISSE, a versatile colour for every man, not too demanding, but unique in its simplicity, a colour that matches well and that can be worn during social and evening events, for leisure but also for more formal occasions.
What are the 3 MUST HAVE women's clothing items?
DRIES VAN NOTEN the 3 animalier garments, Dries Van Noten, this year is definitely one of the brands I have appreciated the most, the collaboration with La Croix, has led to the creation of a collection that is not at all obvious despite the "classic" themes such as the leopard print.
He managed to modernize such an ancient theme, without making it vulgar.
The suit with the short and the sleeveless jacket, and the oversized coat are certainly 3 items that you would not regret having in the closet.
OTTOLINGER the two swimming costumes are innovative and futuristic, the one-piece swimsuit is now a must for summers at the sea, moreover these are swimsuits that can also be worn as tops combined with a nice evening trousers or day jeans.
ISSEY MIYAKE the items in white / black print, I find them fresh, modern but at the same time elegant and not trivial. Easily combined in both daily and evening versions, for me Issey Miyake is always the right choice for simple, fresh fashion that is not too demanding but NEVER trivial.
As for accessories, shoes and bags, can you tell us which are your 3 favourite garments and why?
For men, the accessories that I would recommend are the new IN BETWEEN sneakers by CAROL CHRISTIAN POELL
and the red sneakers of BORIS BIDJAN SABERI in collaboration with SALOMON.
While for women, the DEL CARLO open sandals 6cm heel, comfortable and practical but not obvious,
the flip-flops of NOSTRA SANTISSIMA, original and special, totally combinable with our kind of fashion.
And finally the Little jewel bags by DANIELE BASTA.
We wish you a great day Stella,
